Wild Coffee Human Resources is partnering with a well-respected, established commercial general contractor in the Greater Boston area to hire a Construction Accounting Clerk. This is a great opportunity to join a company that’s building some of the region’s most recognizable spaces — and doing it with precision, pride, and a rock-solid team behind the scenes.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assist several Project Managers and APMS on projects at various stages of construction
  • Assist Senior Accountant to collect and file lien waivers as necessary
  • Remind Subcontractors to bill timely every month
  • Review subcontractor invoices for Notarization, Signature, Retainage, Math, Conditional Release, and any special job requirements
  • Review subcontractor compliance before release of payment
  • Update contacts for Subs, Owners and other contacts in Procore
  • Coordinate with field staff and project team to ensure that all necessary items are in place to operate a successful project site (i.e., field office set-up, trailer, water, communication equipment, internet, phones, connectivity etc.)
  • Identify any problems that could arise and quickly communicate them to the project team
  • Collect, code and enter credit card receipts in a timely manner (including EZ pass)
  • Process monthly credit card statements in Sage
  • Understand the types of requisitions and can explain to help subcontractors fill out billing forms
  • Review snail mail and the accounting email in a timely manner; respond to inquiries timely
  • Assist Senior Accountant with coding of Subcontractor and Material Invoices in Timberscan including obtaining PM approvals, resolving outstanding change orders and reconciling with client receivables
  • Keep files accurate and easily accessible
  • Assist with Credit Applications
  • Assist with weekly check run

Qualifications:

  • Have outstanding attention to detail and the ability to communicate effectively
  • Be proactive, self-motivated, innovative, collaborative, multi-tasker, creative and analytical
  • Have a proven ability to excel in a fast-paced environment
  • Be an exceptional public speaker and presenter
  • Be a strong team player with a positive attitude
  • Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management or equivalent
  • Accounting experience, in construction preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Sage, Timerscan, Procore and GC Pay preferred
